Lead Worker Initial Certification Course, 16 hours

This 16 hour course is Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment accredited and approved. MISERS uses the

Federal EPA Lead Worker Course materials and has designed this two-day course to meet Colorado, EPA and HUD requirements

for Target Housing and Child-Occupied Facilities. The course is a combination of lectures, demonstrations, videos, hands-on

workshops and an exam. This course is not designed to meet all the OSHA worker-training requirements

for projects in other buildings and facilities.

All Courses begin at 8:00am unless otherwise noted.  Registration begins at 7:45.

Lunch is NOT Provided.

If class minimum number is not met, the class may be canceled.

 

This course is being held at the MISERS training center 1825 W. Baker Ave Englewood, CO.

Lead Worker Initial Certification Course Cost: $350.00  

 

Lead Supervisor, Initial Course, 32 hours

This 4 day course is taught concurrently with the Lead Worker Course.  This course is Colorado Department of Public Health

and Environment accredited and approved. It incorporates the EPA Model Course materials and 1997 HUD guidelines to meet

Colorado, EPA and HUD requirements for Target Housing and Child-Occupied Facilities. It covers: Background on Lead; Sources

of Environmental Lead Contamination; Health Effects, Medical Monitoring; Federal, State & Local Regulations; Legal & Insurance;

Reviewing, Inspections and Risk Assessment Reports; Integration of Lead Work with Modernization and Rehabilitation Projects,

Pre-Abatement Planning; Lead Hazard Recognition & Control; Respiratory Protection & Protective Clothing; Employee Information &

Training; Occupant Protection Plans; Project Management Contract Specs; Supervision Techniques; Lead Abatement Options;

Interior Dust Reduction and Clean Up; Internal and External Abatement; Post Abatement/Clean Up; Soil Abatement; Lead Sampling

in Soil Dust & Air; Clearance Testing & Criteria; Waste Disposal; Community & Employee Relations; Cost Estimating; and

Record-keeping. The course is a combination of lectures, demonstrations, videos, hands-on workshops and an exam.

This course is intended for consultants, contractors, supervisors, engineers, architects, regulators, building owners and managers.
